Smartphone for Photographers
I will be presenting a program for the Fort Smith Photographic Alliance on Thursday September 12, 2013 at the Janet Huckabee Nature Center at 7:00 pm
When you mention a smartphone and photography, my first thought is poorly composed, not sharp, low quality images that no serious photographer would consider showing. So why I am doing a program on smartphones for photographers? First, my statement may have been true not long ago, but the phone cameras have gotten remarkable good and are now creating many great photos (and as the saying the best camera is the one you have with you). Second, this program is not about using your phone to take pictures. During this program I will show many useful applications to aid serious photographers, I will not be showing the multitude of apps to edit or manipulate photos on the smartphone.
Do you ever have questions when out in the field taking photos?
What time and where will the sun set?
Will it rain today?
Can I ever find this place again?
What is the color temperature of the light I am shooting in?
What kind of bird is that?
How can I control a time lapse shoot?
How do I calculate DOF (Depth of Field)?
How can I get a signed model release out here?
Why didn’t I bring a flashlight!
What’s for lunch?
“There’s an app for that”
Learn the answers to these and many more questions about smartphones for photographers at this free presentation.
